Iphone Pocket

I am leaving on a missions trip tomorrow to Joplin Missouri. I just pray that I can make a difference in even one persons life. What those people are going through is not even imaginable, so please pray for them.

While I am there, I will be assisting in the cleanup of debris. I obviously did not want to carry my purse with me, but wanted to be able to carry my phone. The pockets in women's pants are not always very deep, and I did not want my phone to fall out, so I decided to sew a quick little pouch to carry it in. I added a loop on the top so I can add a hook and hook it on to my belt loop. I also added a small pocket on the inside of the pouch to hold my money and identification.

The blue gingham fabric used on the inside of this pouch was from a robe my mother in law used to wear not long before she passed away. I love her and miss her so much. It will be nice to take a piece of her with me on my trip.

I did not have a pattern or take measurements when I was making this. I just laid my phone on the fabric pieces and cut it to a size where I could fold it up into a pocket.

Well, I hope you have a great week!
Thanks for stopping by!

A crime and a rescue!

There was a crime that was being committed in our neighborhood, and this was the poor victim...

tossed to the curb, ...can you believe it? Couldn't they see how pretty she was,..um, I mean how pretty she could be? So, I had to rescue her.

Now, I found all sorts of fabric online that I thought would look really nice, but, I actually already have an abundance of fabrics, so I decided to use something that I already have. When I was looking through my stash, I found this pair of drapes that I had picked up at the thrift store for 2.00!

So between the 3.00 can of spray paint and the 2.00 drapes, this is my 5.00 chair...

Thanks for stopping by, and have a blessed day!

The Sweetest Day

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit! I will be posting different crafts on here often, so I hope you will stop back again. I have been a blogger for a few years, but had to take some time off to attend to other things, so now that I am returning, I just wanted to start fresh with a new blog. I hope you will enjoy spending some time with me along the way.

I picked up a couple of new stamps yesterday at our local craft store, so I wanted to share this card with you that I created this morning. The stamp set is an itty bitty stamp from Unity. Also, I was able to make my own doily using a new die that I also purchased yesterday. The line of dies is from Cheery Lynn Designs. The particular die I have used is "French Pastry" I love this new die because I do use doilies often, and this will not only save me money, but I can cut the doily out of any paper I choose.

Have a blessed day!
